I am very lucky to have found Mike. We’ve had about ½ dozen meetings so far and he has helped me immeasurably. All of my Apple products are finally talking to each other (Mac desktop, ipad, ipad mini, and iphone), I am no longer being billed for data overages I didn't understand, he’s fixed problems with my spreadsheet program, updated my Apple ID & password (not easy when you’ve elected 2-step security, which is strongly advised, but again …. not easy), and answered many questions too numerous to list here. Next I'll be learning how to use a password manager. He arrives on time, his fee is fair, he goes at a pace that doesn’t overwhelm, & he's very knowledgeable. Thank you, Mike!

Helped a Commercial Photographer With Mission Critical Migration

I have consulted with Gentle Computer Helpers a few times. I am a commercial photographer with a network of 5 Macs. My business relies on my computers to run well. I am a power user and knowledgeable in troubleshooting Macs. Recently, I had to migrate from an older Mac to a newer one. Mike helped me figure out options for a newer machine. He also helped me by explaining good ways to move existing data into a clean install on a new machine, especially archived email. His advice is knowledgeable and helpful. One general piece of advice that he has given me was, never use a sledge hammer, if a tack hammer will do the job.

Mike is a GEM of a person! A real quality Guy! He brings that quality with him in his interactions. I have been using him as my all purpose go to MAC guy for a number of years. I cannot think of any situation he was not able to advise me on or do the actual repair. Mike also picks up the telephone. A rarity for service calls nowadays. If he cannot be available in that moment he will let you know and then get back to you ASAP. When I purchased my Imac, Mike went with me to the store to make sure I got the product that met my needs.
