Great experience with Randy. Fixed my problem quickly and completely. Some things that really stand out about my experience: --Randy treats you with respect, and doesn't make you feel dumb (for in all honesty, doing something dumb that caused the problem); he's a real professional --Randy was up front about what the repair would cost, and stayed true to his word; he could have charged more (as he spent a little more time than planned) but it seems to me his integrity is more important to him than make a few dollars --Randy gave me a couple options about what to do, without any sales pressure. I felt like he just wanted me as the customer to be satisfied. He laid out pros and cons evenly so I understood the implications of my decision. In retrospect I came to realize that one option was in Randy's business interest and the other not so much, but he didn't try to lead me to one or the other. Very refreshing. Really a great experience. I'll use Randy and recommend him to family and friends who need Mac support.

I found Randy's company through the Apple Support website. I just bought a new MacBook and was having issues connecting it to my virtual desktop for work. My company's Help Desk couldn't even figure it out. I called Randy and spoke to him over the phone. He was very patient and willing to help me out - he even stayed on the phone with me trying to figure out what the problem could be and troubleshoot with me. He did all of this from the kindness of his heart. After we got off of the phone, my company's Help Desk ended up figuring out what to do and got my MacBook up and running, so I did not have to hire Randy and his services. Due to Randy's thoughtfulness and good customer service practices, I will be referring him to anyone that may need assistance with their Apple products, and I will know who to call for any issues in the future.

I could never have asked for better service and care than what I received from RMACS. They were extremely knowledgable, professional, and responsive. Moreove, RMACS handled my case in an extremely personable and caring manner and treated my problems as if they were among their highest priorities. Specifically, I have an iMac (purchased Dec 2008) and it was running so erratically that I almost tossed the darn thing out. RMACS advised me on the upgrades and cleanup that were needed, including where to get a good buy on a RAM upgrade kit. RMACS didn't make a nickel on that part of the upgrade. In the end, RMACS charged only for 3 hours of service (though I'm sure they spent more time than that) - and after the RAM kit my total cost was still much much less than buying a new computer. Like other reviewers have noted, I was a bit suspect about so many exclusively positive reviews of RMACS. But after working with RMACS, I can confidently say that the reviews are correct. In summary, RMACS provided excellent, personable, hassle free service and made my iMac run like new! Fantastic job! Thanks very much RMACS!

How cool is it that the guy who fixes your Mac is named Mac!!???? What else do you need to know? Anyhow, Mac (the guy) got my Mac (the computer) disk drive diagnosed and replaced in no time at a very fair and reasonable price. I love the fact that he suggested a used Mac might be a better way to spend the $$$ in which case he would could no $$$ from me. He even gave me sites where I could find used Macs. I had talked with network and computer experts ad infinitum and knew the issue was internal to the computer but ended up paying for over three hours to learn, "Well, it doesn't appear to be a network problem". I paid the fee, hoping the problem would be solved but realized that my computer would be inoperable during the 24 hours or so that the backup machine that was installed was working -- any consultant should be able to anticipate that a client would need full access to a computer during the work day and recommend an ideal down time for installation. So I ended up having to disable the backup machine and my computer is working as slowly as it ever did. An hour later, I received another estimate to purchase additional RAM plus 3-3.5 hours additional time to install it. So I have a computer that still doesn't work properly with an estimate for him to come back and actually fix it, well over $800. A total waste of time. Nice guy though!

About two weeks ago my iMac became unresponsive and would not fully boot. I brought it to the Apple store and they suggested that I reach out to an Apple consultant. Rmac's was at the top of the list. I gave them a call and we set up a time to meet that was good for me. Randy took great care of me and even offered solutions that would make sense for me as a small business owner. He diagnosed my problem, extracted my drive, mailed it off to drivesavers, replaced the hard drive and installed a new OS within the matter of days. I am BEYOND please with the service I received from Randy. 5 Stars well deserved!

We have used this consultant for several years and am very happy with his service. He helped us convert from PC to Apple and does proactive maintenance on our computers every 6 months. RMACS Exceeded My Expectations

The technician was very helpful up front. My 500 GB HDD had crashed and I was going to replace it with both a SATA 1TB HDD and a 480 GB SSD. Fortunately I listened to him and did not drop $800 plus on a 2011 MBP. It made more sense to only add the 1TB SATA for about a quarter the cost. Now I can keep my money for a new MBA as the technician also suggested. The install was flawless (expect of me forgetting the replacement HDD) We were both on a tight schedule and I was leaving out of town but we able to sync up and the tech was able to complete the installation a day earlier than expected! I highly recommend RMACS services!

Lifesaver...rebuilt my iMac

My iMac hsrd drive failed and was trying to self-destruct. Randy carefully and skillfully intervened to prevent it from re-initializing. He replaced and upsized the hard drive. He attached and installed an external hard drive that exclusively runs Time Machine. He installed Lion and spent over an hour with me explaining how to better organize and use my renewed iMac. He referred me to a "clean room" that was able to recover the data on my failed hard drive. I was able to get a hefty discount on their service due to RMACS connection. Randy always kept me informed during this process, expained and re-explained to me as much as I needed, and had a speedy turnaround time. He is a genuinely nice guy who is passionate about his work.

My initial call to Randy was related to a backup problem with my Time Capsule. Before that scheduled appointment occurred, the problem grew as the entire Time Capsule/Airport Extreme Base Station malfunctioned. I had lost my home WI-FI network for several days. Randy to the rescue! He carefully diagnosed the problem and discussed my options for getting my network up and running. Once that was done, Randy took the time to make sure that all my Apple mobile devices, Apple TV, printer, and Macs were connected to the network and working smoothly. I was very relieved to get my Mac back, with its speed and functionality restored. A purchased internal drive (w/o applications on it, just files) seemed to be the cause of many seemingly unrelated problems. Randy retrieved Aperture files (photos) that appeared to be lost. Even disc bay doors wouldn't function. The Internet came to a crawl. And simple tasks seemed to not function (reminded me of PC entanglements). Randy reconciled the entire Mac, diagnosed the bad drive, recommended better, more reliable hard drives, installed said hard drives once I bought and shipped them directly to him. I was up and running again as some video gigs came in. I really needed the power and functionality restored, and Randy delivered.

"Wow! What a relief to find someone who deals with Macs and only Macs and really knows how to repair damage done by me and all my helpful wannabe computer whizzes who were my friends before they messed with my Mac. This consultant removed the junk I didn't need and left me with a computer that gets right down to business and doesn't dawdle. I could make my wireless printer work and I could send attachments but I bungled through so many steps I was ready to expire. This consultant removed obstacles and made everything simple. Did I tell you he's a good teacher? I didn't? Well I should have. He taught this ole lady how to operate her computer the easy way without making me feel like a computer class drop-out. The day after his visit he called to see how I was getting along. I told him that now my wireless printer was at the ready to obey my command the second I pressed print and that the computer was working well except for one thing. I couldn't log on to Apple to write this comment. Moments later he spotted an error that my ancient eyes failed to notice. I'd added a space in front of my user name. Duh. That duh was from me, not him. He simply cheered with me when I removed the space. Error solved. I can't tell you about all the big problems he fixed--problems no doubt caused by too many 'experts' messing with my computer. If you're looking for no nonsense, excellent help with your Mac problems, I recommend this consultant,"

"I recently retired and switched to DSL from Comcast to save money. I have had nothing but problems since. Not only did I keep losing my wireless connection, but after three sleepless nights, I could not get my printer to communicate wirelessly with my MacBook. After countless useless phone calls to their tech support, (even being told at one point to wait until a 12 year old came home to better deal with the problem), I searched on line for help. I contacted RMACS by email and and received an immediate email response. This was followed promptly the following morning by a phone call. To my surprise my knight in shining armor was on his way that very day. He had one prior appointment, so he called to inform me of his progress, tell me when he was on his way and how long it would take him to get to my house. He arrived precisely when he said he would, was pleasant, friendly, but got right down to the business of fixing my problem. It turned out to be a little stickier than even he had anticipated, resulting in the repair taking much longer than expected. He dug in like a terrier, determined not to leave me in the lurch. I could tell he started to take it personally. He hung in there with me until the problem was resolved. When I was concerned about the time it was taking and how much it was going to cost, he said we'd work that out because it was more important to him to have my confidence and future business than to soak me for resolving a problem that took longer than either of us expected. He probably got stuck in terrible traffic going home and maybe even missed his dinner, but he left a satisfied customer behind. I would certainly call him again and recommend him to my friends and neighbors who needed help."

Gold medal for patience! Solved, and explained clearly, several problems with which we, the technologically challenged, were experiencing. The 'house call' aspect particularly valuable, when dealing with accessories, i.e. printers, WiiFi, and hard connections. He was able to reconfigure the wiring,so that both printers were accessible from both Macs, and spent a great deal of time fixing an apparent computer problem, with one of the laptops. Also, managed to eliminate many connections and/or wires that were unessential, which certainly makes for a neater workspace. We cannot recommend this consultant highly enough - I know of no other, in the entire area, with this level of MAC expertise. and, most importantly, availability.

I spilled an entire glass of milk on my lap top last week. The Apple Store geniuses couldn't do anything for me, but Randy managed to save my hard drive and my data! He's unbelievable! I brought my MacBook in to Randy in hopes that he could make it stop freezing and performing so poorly. As a sophomore in college it is of utmost importance that I have a fully functioning laptop. Before I brought it in, it would freeze when I opened any program. It would take minutes to open/ close programs and would start to overheat. When I got the laptop back from him, it was running 10 times better than when I first purchased it. How fast the machine works now, is nothing but incredible. He updated the software, put 8 gigs of ram into it and organized the hard drive. I am nothing but happy with my apple product and I don't get that feeling like I should throw it at the wall every time I open Word. I recommend EVERYONE with any problems to contact Randy. I promise you won't be disappointed.

A few weeks ago, upon starting up my Macbook, I got the flashing question mark error. I put in my installation disk to try to find the hard drive, and noticed that my tracpad had completely stopped working, so I was completely dead in the water until I could get to buying a separate mouse. Rather than go out and buy a mouse, I went to RMACs, LLC to see what he could do for the problem. After talking to me about what the problem could potentially be, he sent me on my way and got to work. I expected to get a call back in a couple of days, but to my surprise, I got a call around noon THE NEXT DAY. I picked up my mac with a complete service report, and I have been happy ever since. I waited a couple weeks to write this review to make sure everything remained in good order, and I can happily say it has! I strongly recommend RMACs, LLC to anyone who needs a Mac repair done fast, completely, and correctly!

Randy listened to my thoughts on what was going on, asked some probing questions about the iMac and went right to work. His hunch was that the problem was hardware and not software, and after opening the iMac up, he was right. The Logic Board had many bulging capacitors, a know issue that once had a Extended Repair Program on, but has since expired. He gave me a couple of options on how I might want to proceed, and also followed up with a e-mail on a entirely different syncing issue, by sending a link for the correction I needed which worked out very well for me, it is syncing again! Randy is clearly on top of his game, leaving me a very satisfied customer, I will use him again for maintenance in the future.

I made an appointment with Randy to test my G5 as the monitor was not functioning, and to help set up my new iMac. Randy confirmed that there was no video on my Powermac G5; testing it he saw that he could not reset the video card because a screw would not come out of the PCI card slot. I had the option of having him take the machine to try to remove the screw. Not knowing what the problem would be he gave me the a cost breakdown for parts and cost for possible replacement of the video card and logic board if that were needed. For me this was not cost effect. He transferred data from the G5 to the iMac and established connections to the printers and scanner and adjusted the mail settings. Finally he then pulled the drive from the G5 to place into a external enclosure, and within a week Fed Ex-ed the partitioned drive to me for re use. Once I got it plugged into my iMac he logged in remotely to help me set it up for Crash Plan Pro (cloud networking) which I had purchased for extra security. Randy was very prompt in responding to my needs. He was patient in answering my many questions, and was thorough in his analysis and explanation of the options available to me. Once I had received the new partitioned external HD, I had some confusion in understanding the back up procedures and he was helpful in this as well. He had just started an instructional "how to series" video category on his website and the first one was for creating a disk image of your HD. He gave me that link and I followed the video instructions on back up procedures and was able to do the process for myself successfully.

I can't say enough good things about these guys. We changed ISP's and upgraded our internet connection a few weeks ago. Our new provider assured us that our existing router would work with their equipment. However, when cutover day arrived, we discovered that was not the case. We called RMACS and within a few minutes, they were able to recommend a firewall/router that would meet our current needs as well as provide for the future growth of our company.
